Individuals would attempt to have uproars, fight, or again attempt to take the authors cash. In the event that individuals don’t trust in bigotry and don’t need to those kinds of things to happen to our understudies and network they would have put and end to that racial demonstration that the school attempted to restrict. What Happens When You Cant Pay Back Your Personal Loan

What Happens When You Cant Pay Back Your Personal Loan What Happens When You Cant Pay Back Your Personal Loan What Happens When You Cant Pay Back Your Personal LoanIf you default on your personal loan, youre going to enter a world of debt collectors and garnished wages. Instead, try talking to your lender first.Nobody (okay, very few people) take out a personal loan with no intention of paying it back. Doing so can mean piling up late fees, getting hounded by debt collectors, or even ending up in front of a judge and having your wages garnished. Does that sound like something you want to sign up for? No, us neither. And yet, it still can happen. Maybe you lose a job or have an unexpected medical emergency or car repair that ends up capsizing your budget. Whatever the reason, you might end up in a position where you’re not just behind on your loan payments, you aren’t able to pay the loan back at all. Here’s what happens if you can’t pay back your personal loan …Racking up late fees. The first thing that will happen if you miss your due date for a loan payment is a late fee. This will be extra money added onto what you already owe. The size of the fee will vary, but that information should be pretty easy to find on your loan agreement or on the lender’s website. If you’re able to get back on track with your loan payments, these late fees will simply become a part of what you have to pay back. They will likely be added onto what you owe on your next payment. But if you’re able to pay that larger amount, you’ll be back on track. Well, mostly Damage to your credit score.  If you miss a payment by a few days or even a week, it likely won’t be reported to the credit bureaus. This is good, because once it’s sent over to the bureaus, it will get added to your credit report and will negatively affect your credit score. One late payment can do some hefty damage to your score, and a few within a short period will really wreak some havoc.Once you get past 30 days, that’s when your late payment will get reported. As it passes the 60 and 90-day mark, the damage t o your score will only increase. It’s always worth it to get caught up on late payments if you can, even if damage has already been done. The more payments you miss, the  closer you get to …Defaulting on your loan.  Defaulting on a loan means that you have failed to live up to your end of the loan agreement. Your creditor knows you aren’t going to pay them back as hoped, so they’ll switch into collections mode, either sending you to an in-house team or selling your debt to an outside debt collector. There is no way to know for sure at what point your loan will go from “behind in payments” to straight defaulted. This is because the point of default is different depending on the laws in your state and the terms of your loan. One lender might give you 90 days or more before declaring a default, while others might call it after 30.Debt collectors calling you.  The job of a debt collector is to get you to pay back as much of your unpaid debt as they can. And while there are ma ny upstanding debt collectors out there, it’s a fact of life that many other debt collectors will try and use dirty and downright illegal tactics to make you pay up. Learn more about your debt collection rights in our post, What Debt Collectors Can and Can’t Do.Rather than ignoring a debt collectors calls, you should do the opposite: talk to them and do your best to negotiate. Most collectors will be willing to settle for a guaranteed lesser sum rather than continue pressuring you for the whole thing. Try and settle for a smaller amount. That way you can get the account closed out and move on.Going to court and having your wages garnished. This is another good reason to not avoid a debt collector’s calls. If a debt collector (or the original lender) can’t get you to pay at least part of what you owe, there’s a very good chance that they’ll seek a legal remedy. That’s right, they’ll take you to court and ask a judge to rule in their favor. If that judge does issue in yo ur creditor’s favor, they’ll institute a garnishment on your wages. After taking your living expenses into account, the garnishment will set aside a portion of your income from every paycheck to be paid to your creditor until your debt is cleared. Be warned: the amount you owe could also include court fees, making it even harder to get out of debt.Years of bad credit and high interest rates.By the end of this whole endeavor, you’ll likely be left with a terrible credit score that will make you radioactive to traditional lenders. That will mean relying on bad credit loans or no credit check loans (like payday loans, title loans, or cash advances) in order to cover emergency expenses. And while the right bad credit loan can be a good financial solution (particularly bad credit installment loans), many short-term loans in this class come with ridiculously high APRs and can easily leave you trapped in a dangerous cycle of debt. In other words, if you can manage it, avoiding this wh ole situation is truly your best bet.Talk to your lender. No lender likes to get a call from a customer saying that they won’t be able to pay their loan as agreed, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t be willing to help. (It doesn’t mean they will be willing to, either, but it doesn’t hurt to try.) Give them a call, explain your situation, and ask them if there is anything they can do to help you out.Maybe it’s as simple as changing your monthly due date so that it doesn’t overlap with a bunch of your other bills. It might also mean asking for a lower interest rate or refinancing your loan to decrease the amount you’re paying each month. Whatever solution you are able to arrive at with them, it’s certainly preferable to defaulting on your loan altogether. To learn more about managing your finances, check out these other great posts and articles from OppLoans:From Budget to Baller: 6 Tips to Grow Your MoneyThe (Comprehensive) Couple’s Guide To Budgeting4 Simple Way s to Save Money on Your Grocery Billâ€"While Still Eating Healthy!8 Ways To Save Money Today, Tomorrow and Every Day AfterWhat other questions do you have about personal loans? Feminist Criticism In The Great Gatsby - Free Essay Example

Sample details Pages: 4 Words: 1147 Downloads: 3 Date added: 2019/03/25 Category Literature Essay Level High school Tags: Feminist Essay The Great Gatsby Essay Did you like this example? The focus on how women are depicted in literature is crucial and it is seen in the works of Fitzgerald in his book â€Å"The Great Gatsby†, for it was one of the many ideas that were discussed in his book. Furthermore, the idea of the feminist perspective is that it deals with the traditional impression of a man as the commanding and influencing subject who is thought to represent humanity since it is depicted that the male had overpowered females and prevented them from recognizing their own potential. The story can be appreciated for the way it has portrayed women, as the general narrative is enhanced and allows the reader to praise it for its literary value through feminist criticism. Don’t waste time! Our writers will create an original "Feminist Criticism In The Great Gatsby" essay for you Create order Therefore, in the book â€Å"The Great Gatsby† the feminist criticism centers on the general idea of the female experience, the differences between women and men, and the relationships between both genders. In light of this, Fitzgerald wrote about this issue with awareness of the early twentieth century regarding female experience. Moreover, the women in â€Å"The Great Gatsby†, specifically Daisy, were seen as attractive young wives who were not only viewed as tools by men but also not heard or understood for their potentials. This idea was stated when Daisy bore a child and discovered that the child was a girl, she cried and said, ‘â€Å"All right, I’m glad it’s a girl. And I hope she’ll be a fool-that’s the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool†Ã¢â‚¬â„¢ (Fitzgerald 17). These words spoken by her reveal a lot about her character. In the book, it was viewed that Daisy was alone, but not a fool since at that time the social environment didn’t show any appreciation to the intellect of women. On the other hand, this observation can also be viewed to be a sarcastic comment because although she is referring to the social values and what they hold in her era, she doesn’t confront them. For this reason, she portrays those values as her own since she thinks that girls or females can only have fun and survive in the world if only they were attractive fools. Also, in this story Daisy is depicted to be the â€Å"American golden girl,† this was shown when Gatsby said, ‘â€Å"Her voice is full of money†Ã¢â‚¬â„¢ (Fitzgerald 120). To explain, the description of Daisy’s voice represents her personality, for on the outside, she seems to be alluring and glamorous, but on the inside, she is both shallow and disloyal. Despite all that, she speaks like the sound of success, which is a â€Å"golden† that makes her enchanting to men. Fitzgerald shows the difference between both men and women by giving readers perspicacity into the men who agree with the female illusion created by society, and how they demoralize them. Fitzgerald explores the irony that men exploit their idealized women. This idea is supported when Gatsby and Daisy were conversing together. â€Å"He began to talk excitedly to Daisy, denying everything, defending his name against accusations that had not been made. But with every word she was drawing further and further into herself† (Fitzgerald 134). Gatsby’s life here seems to be based on the idea of getting validated and approved of himself and his actions throughout his relationship with Daisy. A feminist would see that he is trying to oppress her here, for it’s like Gatsby is trying to control and overpower Daisy by trying to keep her from leaving him while she is trying to escape him. Additionally, there seems to be a focus on individuals who also break the social standards that were set up by society. To clarify, Nick, the narrator of the story, reflects on the relationship between Tom and Myrtle and Daisy. Tom is abusing Myrtle Whilst dominating one overpowering Daisy. With attention to what happened in the following, â€Å"Making a short deft movement, Tom Buchannan broke her nose with his open hand† (Fitzgerald 37). The only problem to happen was that he had done so in front of an audience showing that it was a social standard in a messed up system created by the society to get a male to dominate a female, Fitzgerald is using his critique by showing that it would seem out of control if she was physically abused in front of people back then. Tom is using his physical and economic power over both Myrtle and Daisy to overpower them, showing that the women in this text have no power, even when trying to gain it. Not to mention, Fitzgerald also showed a great emphasis on the relationship between males and females. With this in mind, one has to think of one of the main characters of the story, Nick Carraway who gave a biased view on the relationship between women and men, and the chain of command regarding relationships. This relates to how Tom had a mistress and Daisy was aware of what happened but didn’t do anything to fix the problem. For that, the narrator Nick was disgusted and surprised by this since he thought that Daisy was to take her daughter and pack her things and leave him, but was surprised to know that she didn’t act on it though. Despite that Nick seems to be unable to relate to Jordan Baker on the same level regarding how she interprets morals and ethics in simplicity, specifically about her playing golf and how she â€Å"cheated†, without thinking that he too thinks this way. This is revealed when Nick and Jordan converse near the end of the story, ‘â€Å"You threw me over the phone. I don’t give a damn about you now, but it was a new experience for me, and I felt a little dizzy for a while. I thought you were an honest, straightforward person, I thought it was your secret pride†Ã¢â‚¬â„¢ (Fitzgerald 177). ‘â€Å"I’ma five years too old to lie to myself and call it honor†Ã¢â‚¬â„¢ (Fitzgerald 177). This just shows how biased he is, for he too was dishonest since he was still half in love with her in the end. In conclusion, Fitzgerald overall presentation of women and men in the early 1920s is calloused and unflattering. The society was based on men disempowering women and degrading them, and how difficult it was for a woman to survive in the 1920s because they had to act like beautiful fools and allow men to distinguish their potentials, and how the relationships were false and based on lies and putting masks on for one another. This book targeted an issue that showed how women all fell under the label of â€Å"beautiful fools† who were disempowered by men despite them having potentials that were far bigger than those of the men in that society back then. Valentine Atlas Essay Example For Students

Valentine Atlas Essay The disillusionment concerning romance in Atlas is contrasting to that of Valentine. Atlas also discusses a less welcome aspect of love, but it does it in a much less cynical manner. It deals with the ordinary support and maintenance needed by all relationships. However, it does not do this in a bitter tone. The idea that maintenance is only one facet of love helps to make love seem much better. This is stressed as it is a kind of love, and the sensible side of love. Although it is only shown to be one area of love, its value is shown by the enormity of the job it does of upholdstructures of living. It reveals that a relationship cannot work without a pragmatic aspect, which must store the WD40. The comparison to Atlas as a classical figure is oddly appropriate, because he too was holding up a suspect structure due to necessity, although unwillingly. Love too must be held up by some unwanted chores otherwise the ricketty elaborate structure will collapse. The comparison to Atlas is a tribute to love, and highlights the importance given to it by Fanthorpe. Both Fanthorpe and Duffy choose to state the importance of seeing below the surface of love and the relationship. In Valentine, this is expressed through the metaphor of the layers in the onion. It emphasises the need for the careful undressing of love, saying that it is a moon wrapped in brown paper. Therefore one must get through the paper to see what it really has to offer. Fanthorpe conveys the importance of more deeply in a different way. She emphasises the need to know the other person really well, so that one can laugh at dryrotten jokes and remember need for gloss and grouting. In Fanthorpes mind, this attention to detail and depth of understanding is what keeps suspect edifice upright in air. The style used by both writers is contrasting. Duffy uses free verse, with very short, emphatic lines. This makes the poem seem more dramatic and increases tension. She isolates certain words to create a more threatening tone. For example like a lover is on its own line, this adds power to it. Also, the single words such as Here or Lethal are impacting. The complete separation of I am trying to be truthful adds a feeling of desperation. This differs greatly form Atlas. Although the start of Atlas is split into couplets, there is a feeling of continuity throughout the poem. This is achieved through enjambment, even between different stanzas, which upholds/ The permanently, ricketty. The enjambment makes the poem seem less jerky and harsh. Atlas is written mostly in pairs of lines; however, the addition of As Atlas did the sky causes the last section to have an uneven number of lines. This adds impact on that line and on the subject of her metaphor. Both of these poem look below the surface of love, trying to see what is wrapped in brown paper. However, what they find upon their undressing of love differs greatly. After reading Valentine, the reader is left with a rather cynical, yet realistic view of love, and all the potential dangers it brings. Atlas, on the other hand, portrays love as an essential part of life, even if it has a sensible side which is not so palatable. Therefore, although both these poets are being truthful, they are exposing two very different truths.

Speech on Corruption free essay sample

My speech today will address the topiccorruption and especially political corruption. Everything in this era revolves around the decisionsmade by powerful people in society, particularly governmental people and politicians and many of them resort to misuse power for personal gains such as money, luxuries or even more power. Thismeans that corruption could make you gain a lot but it also means that you deprive certain people of a lot. This is why in certain countries, we see a gap that is widening between the poor and the richand certain economies are falling, as in the united states economy. Corruption only leads to thedestruction of a persons morals and ethics and would increase peoples hatred towards that person. Asignificant example on political corruption is when our countries in the middle east- throughcorrupted people- facilitated the way for the occupational troops to invade Iraq and when theyignored the cries for help by Palestinians in Gaza and other cities. We will write a custom essay sample on Speech on Corruption or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page It is time for people to start paying attention to these issues and understand that we must fight corruption to end these miserableissues upon our people. It is therefore that corrupted people must suffer the consequences incurred by their actions and should be punished according to the Islamic system. But what if the peoplewithin the system are also corrupted? Then I believe that change comes from within us if we arewilling to step up to these people and by taking initiatives, sacrifices and perhaps try to influence people and future generations to put pressure in the face of corruption. One of the ways of applying pressure and drawing attention to this case was shown by a reporter a few days ago who threw a pair of shoes at the united states president. Although I liked the idea but other methods such asdemonstrations are proved to be effective methods and as Ive stated earlier, its all about takingsacrifices and initiatives towards these methods, that we can eliminate corruption.

How does Shakespeare present the character of Shylock in the play Essays

How does Shakespeare present the character of Shylock in the play Essays How does Shakespeare present the character of Shylock in the play Paper How does Shakespeare present the character of Shylock in the play Paper Essay Topic: Play Shylock is introduced as a wealthy, Jewish man who lends money and charges interest. He seems to know Antonio, a local merchant in Venice, as when Antonio goes to him for money he says how Antonio has previously spat on him. We do not know whether Shakespeare meant this to be literate or metaphorical but we do know that many Christians hated Shylock as in Elizabethan times usurers were looked down at as usury was against Christian practise and Shylock was a Jew. Shylock takes a key part in the bond plot, a plot that involved the lending of some Ducats to Antonio so long as if he need to forfeit he must give willingly a 1lb of his flesh. Antonio agrees as the way Shylock said it to him made it sound like it was a joke, and he was certain that his ships would be arriving soon with more than enough to pay off the debt. Further on in the play, we are introduced to Jessica, Shylocks daughter. Jessica is not very fond of her father and we see this in action when she runs away with a young Christian and is converted. She also steals a number of precious jewels and Ducats from her father. This sends Shylock into a rage and he is pleasantly surprised to find out that Antonios ships have failed him and so Antonio must forfeit the bond. Shylock seems more irate that his ducats are lost then his daughter. This is his chance for revenge against Antonio and taking out his anger about his daughter. He even says: I would my daughter were dead at my foot, and the jewels in her ear this shows him in his evil state and that he would rather see his daughter dead if it meant getting his jewels back. He goes to the courtroom fully prepared to exit with a pound of his enemies flesh. However, the fact that shylock keeps making a point of showing importance against sticking to the exact words of the bond go against him. When the Judge (Portia in disguise) reminds him that he didnt ask for blood and so if any blood spills when he takes the flesh then he will have all his possessions taken from him, as he will have broken the bond and law. When Shylock decides he would rather take the money that Bassanio has agreed to pay, Portia refuses him it, as he must take the bond and also reminds him that if he takes too little flesh or too much then he will be breaking the law. Shylock is trapped, there is no humane way that he can take the forfeit and so he pleads with the judge to forgive him and spare him of his life. The judge rules that Shylock must give half his goods the state of Venice and the other half to Antonio. Antonio says that on Shylocks death, half the money will go to his daughter and her Christian husband, he also demands that Shylock become a Christian. The way people view the character of Shylock has changed through the centuries, in the seventeenth century he was seen as a savage villain who is contrasted with the other characters comical and romantic styles. However in the nineteenth century, people focused on the sufferings of Shylock and why he behaves like he does. The reason for the change in opinion could be explained by the way anti-Semitism is seen. When the play was written, it was common to hear anti-Semitic views by the Christians, they often made jokes at those less fortunate and some could say that Shylocks purpose was for some to laugh at a Jewish persons expense. For example in act 3 scene 1 Salarino and Solanio talk about Shylocks misfortunes rather sarcastically. One opinion about the way that Shakespeare presents Shylock in the play is that he is shows him to be a Jewish man who is misunderstood, mistreated and unfairly accused. Shylock can be played as an attractive, sympathetic figure. The ending of the play helps this view very strongly as everything is taken from including his possessions and even his religion. It seems at the end that Shylock has nothing left to live for, even his daughter has played traitor to him and run off with the Christians. I hate him for he is a Christian He lends out money gratis and brings down the rate of here with us in Venice Shylock despises Antonio because of his religion and because his money lending affects Shylocks living standards and how much money he earns. It makes us feel compassion towards Shylock as opposed to Antonio in the first half of the play as by Antonio lending money for nothing it is preventing Shylock from earning more. His speech If you prick us (Act 3, Scene 1) makes us view him with more sympathy than before. He is asking for understanding and Shakespeare may have done this so that the audience could understand his anger at the way he is treated by the Christians and explains why he feels revenge is rightfully his. Yet if any sympathy was gained in this speech it was changed after he uses it to justify his constant refusal for mercy and plain revenge. Towards the end of the trial scene, Shylock is shown in a dark light as well as where we begin to feel sympathetic again. The fact that he has come fully prepared with his own knife and scales shows us the determination that he gets what he came for and it shows that he could be very disturbed to have planned it already. He constantly rejects the pleas for mercy, which could say that Shakespeare wanted to gain trust of the Elizabethans who had anti-Semitism views, if they thought Shakespeare was trying to show pity to the Jew and make him look friendly then no one would see his show as people would think he was trying to make the Elizabethans like Jewish people. So to appeal to everyone you could say he was trying to take no sides showing each character with good and bad qualities, Shakespeare was not anti-Semitic. You could say that Shylock was presented as a villain but for comical purposes. I have already mentioned how the Elizabethans saw Jews to be evil and that when they see him suffering this may have shown some crude and grotesque humour. The way Shylock is mocked in the finial scene is seen to be fairly humorous for Elizabethan standards. In the film version we watched early on in the year Al Pacino played Shylock. The way he played the part, in my opinion, made the audience sympathise with him more as his facial expressions showed that he felt just for all the wrong things he did. In the film, it showed the courtroom scene to be played in a sympathetic way. Al Pacino shows great empathy with his character when Shylock has to decide whether to take the flesh even though he will be punished. Shylocks eventual outcome is rather malicious and the way they treat him considering they should be happy that their friend is not going to be killed is rather heartless. They probably think that their actions are justified as Shylock did intend to kill Antonio, yet if they knew how much it hurts to suffer they would have let him go with no further punishment. Also if they cared about their religion so much they would understand how it would feel if they were made to change their religion.

English Composition Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words - 2

English Composition - Essay Example I just don’t see how eliminating one particular part of your food supply, like carbs or protein, can be considered healthy. All it took was a little investigation to figure out those were bad ideas. But I hate jogging! That’s actually work. You run and run and run and get all sweaty and everyone sees you out there being sweaty and gross with your fat bouncing all over the place, which, by the way, is not comfortable at all. After circulating through my friends and their many suggestions, I didn’t find a single one that appealed to me. And then, the quiet guy in the corner looked up from his book and said, â€Å"Do you want to lose weight or tone muscle?† â€Å"Then you need to eat sensibly and get some exercise every day, at least 30 minutes,† he said. â€Å"It doesn’t matter what you do, just do something to get your heart rate going faster for 30 minutes a day. And it doesn’t matter what you eat, as long as you eat reasonable proportions of healthy or low-fat food.† Before I knew it, I was working out with a bunch of people who were much more out of shape than I am in a relatively easy program called Big Loser. The first week was really hard, the second week was not so hard and the third week, I added another show to my daily routine just to challenge myself. What made this so nice is that I could do it right in my own room, where no one had to see me looking all nasty and at the same time, every part of me was working out and getting in shape. I couldn’t see the changes every week, but I could feel them and that was

The Grapes of Wrath Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

The Grapes of Wrath - Essay Example The film and the book reveal the plight of individuals who are earnestly working to ease suffering alongside other circumstances that are purely not of their making. With no suggestions being offered either in the book or film, Ma Joad announces that the solution to unemployment will be the duty of the people. To this note, the movie ends with a lot of optimism that someday somewhere, there will be a reprieve. (Finn, 2) The film portrays two main themes. In the entire movie, maturity is clearly shown; this is the concept that life’s process requires a rebirth of the mind. Amidst the difficulties that people encounter, one is not to give up, you need to renew your strength and carry on with the struggle because sometimes, a good day comes and things become different and better. Peoples past experiences have revealed that whenever puts on a new face in the midst of trouble, your efforts never fade until finally showers of hope come along. The theme of maturity is revealed in many experiences that the family until, at its end, the film provides an optimism that things will get better. Secondly, the theme of mistreatment comes out clearly in the theme; residents are made to encounter hardships in the hands of the mighty people. Views in the ‘Okie’ Californian camps expose conditions where people are greatly deprived of life’s necessities. The state troops and the local police push about the people and the visitors that are unwelcomed in a foreign land. The whole movie brings to us a story that has merciless treatments. It is only in one spot where the visitors find solace; the governments agricultural camp in the northern California. This is a highly captivating narrative, very natural and pure. It’s a classical novel, about a poor family which is made to travel to look for a greener pastures a place of comfort, where they can live in peace and afford a decent life. Case Study Marketing Mix Marketing Essay

Case Study Marketing Mix Marketing Essay It has already become a commonplace to say that marketing is now constantly evolving and changing; marketing approaches are increasingly applied in commercial companies and nonprofit organizations all over the world. In this regard, many elements of the marketing theory have become universally accepted classical marketing tools: segmentation and positioning, the concept of product life cycle, Ansoff matrix, BCG and GE matrix, SWOT-analysis, etc. The same world popular marketing tool became the concept of Marketing Mix that is generally known as the Four Ps. Thus, it is necessary to describe main elements of the marketing mix in this project. Also it is necessary to show how each of the four elements of the marketing mix affects the development of the organizations marketing strategy and tactics. The organization of my choice is Sony Corporation. Marketing Mix Definition The term marketing mix became often used after a famous Neil H. Borden published his article titled The Concept of the Marketing Mix in 1964. It was not the first mentioning of this term, because Borden began using this term in the late 1940s when James Culliton had described the marketing manager as a special kind of mixer of ingredients. Interpretation of those ingredients in marketing mix by Borden included not only product, price, place and promotion, but also planning, branding, personal selling, servicing, distribution channels, advertising, analysis etc. Thus, in this part of this project it is necessary to define the concept of the marketing mix. According to Wilson and Gilligan (2004), it becomes obvious that nowadays Marketing Mix is a major concept in modern marketing and involves practically everything that a marketing company can use to influence consumer perception favorably towards its product or services so that consumer and organizational objectives are attained, i.e. Marketing mix is a model of crafting and implementing marketing strategy. In other words, marketing mix is a set of marketing tools through which the company seeks a way to influence the demand for goods or services; also it is a set of actions (strategies) that form the demand for certain goods at a specified price at a certain place with the use of certain promotion. Marketing Mix in Details As it was above mentioned Marketing mix consists of four main elements: Product; Price; Place (distribution); Promotion. Describing marketing mix with more details it is necessary to say that the above numerated marketing tools have been isolated from many others primarily because their use has a direct impact on demand and could encourage consumers to make purchases. Conducting of market research, analysis of strengths and weaknesses of the firm, segmentation and other marketing tools, of course, also help marketers in their quest to increase demand for products and services of certain companies, but have only an indirect effect: for example, the demand will not increase just because the firm had marketing research or segmentation of consumers. The result of a successful marketing research can be used to change one or more elements of the marketing mix and is the only way to influence consumer demand. (We should note that the aim to increase demand is not always the true aim, because the elements of marketing mix can be combined and used with the aim to reduce demand that is called demarketing, accord ing to F. Kotler definition.) Another useful property of the elements included in the marketing mix, is their control the marketer can control every element to the desired impact on demand, choose the most promising combination of elements. In addition, the order of the elements of the marketing mix clearly shows the sequence of the main marketing functions implementation. Product as an Element of marketing mix Product offered by a company in the market implies the presence of a set of specific properties in its nature, both material defining the physical features of product (color, packaging, warranty, size, taste, etc.) and intangible the elements of emotional evaluation (degree of commitment to consumers, easy handling, prestige, quality, style, etc.). First of all, it is necessary to determine what the company promotes on the market: consumer goods or industrial goods, product or service. From the standpoint of marketing mix, during the sale of industrial products is more important factual information about a product, since the decision on their purchase depends on professionals opinion. In turn, when referring to buyers of consumer products marketers usually used more emotional appeal. Price as an Element of Marketing Mix In most cases price represents a monetary expression of value of the products and should be installed as the compromise between the seller and buyer. Marketing mix should reflect the price from the buyers position. Companies use price marketing mix strategies for the purpose of to stay competitive and create a positive consumer attitude to the product. In addition, for the purpose of remaining competitive marketing mix strategy, the company can sell the product, comparable to the basic properties of a similar nature at a lower price. If the seller uses the value of the products to fight with competitors, he must show the buyer the price ratio of its product in comparison with others. Place as an Element of Marketing Mix Distribution channels are people and organizations that help move products from the producer to the end consumer. Marketing mix distribution is based on the following scheme: wholesalers buy goods from a manufacturer or another wholesaler and sell it using retail or wholesale trade. They tend to use promotion as an element of marketing mix (personal selling, for example) and take measures to stimulate sales. But at this stage they may also use other marketing mix strategies, such as the sale of mail order, advertising in specialized publications, issue directories, participating in trade fairs. Promotion as an element of Marketing Mix According to Lancaster and Reynolds (2005), we see that in the context of the marketing mix, promotion represents the various aspects of marketing communication, that is, the communication information about the product with the goal of generating a positive customer response. In addition Lancaster and Reynolds (2005) stated that marketing communication decisions include: promotion strategy (push, pull, etc.), advertising, personal selling and sales force, sales promotion, public relations and publicity, and marketing communications budget). Sony Corporation in Brief Sony Corporation is an active follower of marketing mix and we are going to discuss the implementation of the marketing mix four elements by giving it as example. Thus, modern Sony Corporation is a giant organism. It is large in size, complex in structure, operates in nearly all countries of the world and managed by an international team of managers. It becomes obvious that Sony Corporation is not only a multinational conglomerate corporation, but it is also considered to be one of the worlds largest media conglomerate. In its rapid development, Sony Corporation has passed through three major stages: the small producer, specialized company and the big monopoly. The key points of Sony Corporation development are the choice of major goals and setting ambitious scientific and engineering problems. Marketing Mix and Sony Corporation Analyzing product as the first component of the marketing mix by giving Sony Corporation as example we see that Sony products are oriented on different people and companies that allow to make the circle of potential consumers as wide as possible. Customers always look for novelties having good brand and excellent quality, so a variety of products ranging from different electronic devices to entertainment area (such as games, for example) allows Sony Corporation to be not only competitive, but also successful company. In Sony Corporation pricing, decisions are always made in consultation with marketing management and relating Sonys prices to the quality of its products, all customers are sure that they will pay normal price for excellent product. Thinking about the distribution we should mention that Sony Corporation sells its products in various channels. Three branches of distribution such as exclusive, selective and intensive network give the opportunity to satisfy the need of every consumer, who is interested in Sonys products. Promotion is a key element of success of any company and Sony Corporation has a huge promotional budget that covers not only advertising, but also personal selling, sales promotion, direct marketing and publicity. In this case promotion of products is a marketing pressure applied in a certain limited period of time to stimulate trial purchases, increasing demand from customers or improve the quality of the products. Thus, using all components of marketing mix Sony Corporation operates successfully. Despite the fact that Sony Corporation is not a young company, it can not be considered ossified. The style of the companys management still distinguishes by newness and freshness of the young company and it remains popular through a series of measures to control the implementation of all marketing mix components. Conclusion Thus, after considering the transformation of the marketing mix it can be concluded that the marketing mix is a set of parameters of the marketing activities of the organization, when it tries to meet the needs of target markets in the best way. To sum up, it is possible to say that there were discussed all necessary components of marketing mix and its implementation by giving Sony Corporation as example.

Locating the company Essay

Mary Anne used to work in the public library but has resigned four years ago. Currently she writes articles on Wicca and witchcraft for an online website under an assumed name for privacy. She claimed that her ancestors were into the practice long before they came to the US to migrate. According to her, the practice was never foreign to her having grown with a doting father who was a physician studying herbology along with his siblings. Animatedly she began to talk about her funny experiences as a child and showed me her private carpeted room which I was not allowed to step inside. Standing in the halls, I was shown a set of altar tools used in rituals which includes a broom or a besom, a cauldron, the goblet, a hardbound Book of Shadows, a boline or a knife for cutting things and many more. The room was well-lighted with several lamps that looked like candles, and there were several unlighted candles of white, black and gold colors. I was then told that the tools are just plain tools that have no actual powers of their own. According to Mary Anne, the â€Å"tools† are used for a particular purpose and while they may seem unimportant, it is considered rude to touch them without permission. A pentagram was framed at the corner of the room with 3D effects. Altogether, the Wiccan room she showed me was a stark contrast from the rest of the house. We went back to her sitting room and started talking about the popular Wiccan groups in her community. For her, there was no difficulty in locating the company of others but her path is unique and so are the paths of her family members before her. According to her, the Divine is everywhere present in every being. She respects other members and practitioners but prefer to practice alone to maintain focus. Although she attends meetings from time to time, these are often associated with certain religious ceremonies. Knowing that I was quite interested in the craft, she started preaching on the value of ethics and the threefold law that what you do to others comes back to you threefold times. Respect for others and their liberty is critical in the wiccan culture and religion that allows us to be freed from our own selfish ambitions according to Rountree (2002). For Anne, the air, water, and the earth are essential for life such that she is a vegetarian unable to hurt and kill animals even for food. Fire according to her is in her heart as her zest for life is written down for others to read and aid in the wiccan practice and religion. For her, the principles of Alexandrian Wicca or the Gardnarian wicca is important but does not have to be the ultimate guiding force into the practice if the religion allows freedom and liberty as its cardinal rule. Her parting joke to me was, â€Å"do not be afraid, the true wiccans are not into evil practice† made me see that a true religion does not impart teachings of subjugation and control to its members.

“Of Mice and Men”: Naturalism Essay

Naturalism is a very intense style of literature that an author can use. With naturalism, the author is trying to convey knowledge acquired through the senses and experiences they them selves have been through. In the novel of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck, he portrays elements of naturalism through his very own sights and experiences. During the depression John Steinbeck got a first hand dose of what it meant to deal with sordid aspects of life. Just like his book, he portrays his accounts using highly realistic settings, and brutal characters with foul mouths that deal with depressing issues of life. In the real world things happen, but in the world of Mice and Men, nothing ever seems to happen the way the characters hope. Steinbeck wanted his characters to be brutal and fail to achieve their goals they worked so hard to get. He wanted the characters to have foul mouths and have bleak views of what life really is. As said from the genre paper of naturalism â€Å"Characters in naturalistic literature are trapped by their heredity and environment and end in failure.† Dealing with vast emotions and massive challenges, characters like George and Lennie in the novel, ended in failure because of their brutal surroundings. If Curly’s wife never intervened with Lennie after he killed the young pup, then she would not have ever died. Lennie was only driven by his basic urge to touch soft things. † Lennie’s big fingers fell to stroking her hair. â€Å"Don’t you mess it up,† she said.†Ã¢â‚¬ ( Steinbeck 91 ). Steinbeck really placed the characters with brutal settings among brutal characters. The setting of the book is highly realistic and greatly portrays what the time period truly represented. Steinbeck, once a migrant worker too, lived the experience of his literature. He knew exactly what the environment should be like too and what it shouldn’t. â€Å"Chapters one and six take place by the river, two and three in the bunkhouse, four and five in the barn.† All of these setting are settings you would not likely find through out our time period but in the life of a lonely migrant worker. It is quit creditable for Steinbeck to instinctively return to the earlier forms of literature of drama, epic and parable. His use of literary devices to describe his settings are remarkable. â€Å" A few miles south of Soledad the Salinas River drops in close to the hillside bank and runs deep and green.  The water is warm too, for it has slipped twinkling over the yellow sands in the sunlight before reaching the narrow pool.†(Steinbeck 1). Steinbeck is not making just plain ordinary descriptions of this scene-setting, but is revealing a sense of freedom and joy before tragedy and hate that’s burred farther along the book from the sordid aspects of life. Dealing with dirty aspects of life was all just another part of naturalism in Steinbeck’s scheme. He wanted the reader to greatly feel the depression and madness their society had to endure. He wanted the reader to end the book sick to the core from the gruesome dream that was crushed with just one accidental murder, and one gunshot to the head. â€Å"And George raised the gun and studied it, and he brought the muzzle of it close to the back of Lennie’s head. The hand shook violently, but his face set and his hand studied. He pulled the trigger.† (Steinbeck 106 ). This was already evident to some of the characters in the book. Crook’s for instance, foreshadowed what would happen later on to people with dreams. â€Å"†I never seen a guy really do it,† he said † I seen some guys nearly crazy with loneliness for land, but ever’ time a whore house or a blackjack game took what it takes.†Ã¢â‚¬ (76). This book really showed that fate is eminent and no matter how you try or what you do, something will always try to stand in your way. Naturalism is portrayed in the novel of Mice and Men through the author’s own sights and experiences. Just like his book, Steinbeck emulates his life experiences with highly realistic settings, and brutal characters with foul mouths that deal with depressing issues of life. Steinbeck truly pushed beyond the limits of standard writing, and showed us a side of good and evil like never before.
